What's included on an exterior project
Minnesota exteriors fail at the prep, not the paint. Every estimate spells the prep out.
- Pressure wash to remove chalk, dirt and mildew
- Scraping of loose and failing paint, then sanding of the edges
- Bare wood spot-primed with an appropriate primer before topcoats
- Caulk replaced at seams, joints and trim gaps
- Windows, roofing, stone and landscaping masked and protected
- Two finish coats of exterior paint from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, or Hirshfield's unless the scope says otherwise
- Daily clean-up and a final walkthrough with Cody before the job is closed

- We don't paint over rot. Soft trim, fascia, and sill wood is replaced or epoxy-repaired first, quoted separately before work starts.
- Freeze-thaw cycling is the reason we use flexible acrylics (SW Duration/Emerald, BM Aura) and Sashco Big Stretch at the joints.
